I never wanted to live in Houston; I mean NEVER. As cliche as it was that I followed my college sweetheart into adulthood, it was even more cliche that we ended up in the city where we are both from. We hail from the suburbs of Houston (he Sugar Land, me The Woodlands), and had the popularly held notions of what Houston was all about: cement, oil and gas, business men, no parks, car-centric, and FUGLY. While there is some truth to all of these things, Houston is a lot more than that. Here’s a look at My Houston, and how I have come to love this eclectic, artsy town.
