It marked Houston's largest-ever naturalization ceremony, a testament to this city’s unparalleled diversity and the strength of its immigrant communities. This milestone reminds me of what makes Houston truly special: it is not just a melting pot, but a thriving, vibrant tapestry of cultures interwoven in ways that enrich us all.

One in four Houstonians was born in another country, and nearly half of the city’s children have at least one immigrant parent. These numbers reflect more than demographics; they tell the story of a city where the world comes together to build a shared future. Walk through Houston’s neighborhoods, and you’ll experience the incredible fusion of cultures.
